H3N2 is an Influenza A variant virus. It is called a variant because it is commonly present in pigs but when it is present among humans, it is called a “variant”. This virus were first identified in pigs of U.S in 2010. Since 2010, there were multiple outbreaks, almost 309 cases. Recently a sudden increase in the cases of influenza caused by H3N2 virus sub-type. This became one of the fastest spreading virus in 2023.

Common Symptoms
- Fever
- Sore Throat
- Fatigue
- Nasal Congestion
These symptoms lasts for almost three days to one week. A proper diagnostics and medication is necessary rather than self treatment. It can be spread through the droplets during sneeze and cough. The best way to prevent this influenza is to wear a mask and keep away from crowd.
